Through NatureServe Explorer Pro, data users can obtain highly precise species and ecosystem location data, including data for documented species locations and predicted habitats, by purchasing a NatureServe data license. The cost of a data license includes a $10,000 minimum base fee plus additional fees calculated based on the level of data precision, geographic scope, and number of data users. A license fee for a comprehensive, precise regional dataset starts at $100,000, with a full national license costing around $300,000.
