This classification could benefit from additional activity in these units, both in regard to additional data collection, but also analysis of other existing data which has been collected since this earlier date. We hope that the issuance of this report will stimulate the need for additional research on these National Forests, which occupy critical areas in the globally significant East Gulf Coastal ecoregion, and whose conservation and management is critical for maintaining the biodiversity of this region.
