Cindy Hewitt grew up in Hawaii and enjoyed spending much of her time outdoors. This experience gave her a deep appreciation for the beauty and fragility of nature and its ecosystem. Her decision to move to the Pacific Northwest was in part inspired by the wide variety of outdoor activities year-round and the geographical priorities to protect the environment. Cindy has over 30 years of experience in sales and leadership in various industries to include cloud computing technologies, e-commerce, and television broadcast and digital advertising. Cindy received her B.A. in Elementary Education from the University of Hawaii. She was an Elementary and Junior High teacher in California and Hawaii for 5 years. Cindy’s motivation to support preservation and sustainability continues in support of Nature Serve’s mission, and she is honored to serve on their Board.
