Stephanie Orndorff is NatureServe’s Biodiversity Location Data (BLD) Project Manager. Stephanie comes to us with skills and experiences in conservation planning, project management, and GIS that will make her an excellent project manager for the BLD program. In addition to developing strong work plans and managing projects day-to-day, this position supports our clients in understanding and effectively using our data and data products.
Before joining NatureServe, Stephanie led planning and permit application work for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. Her past work experience includes being a Senior Conservation Planner for the PA Chapter of The Nature Conservancy, a Project Development Manager for a solar energy company, a GIS Analyst for the National Audubon Society, a Faculty Research Assistant for the Chesapeake Bay Program, and a GIS/Science Educator for a few years. She has a Master’s Degree in Wildlife Ecology from the University of Maine and a Bachelor’s Degree in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation from the University of Florida. Her master’s research focused on how adequately Maine conservation lands represent the state’s natural diversity.
