Travis is a Software Engineer with twenty-five years of experience in various software development roles. He has developed full-stack business productivity applications as well as GIS-based applications and
components, including a feature-rich, reusable map component that provides consistent GIS functionality to applications across multiple products for a leading provider of public sector software.
Born and raised in Maine, Travis earned his BS in Computer Science from the University of Maine and has worked in software development for a handful of companies in the southern Maine area. He became a Maine Master Naturalist in 2019 and has since volunteered in several conservation and natural history capacities: leading public nature walks, serving on the board of directors for a local land trust, stewarding 334 acres of conserved land, and being a mentor for the Maine Master Naturalist Program (twice!).
In his free time, Travis enjoys birding, hiking (and generally exploring the outdoors), gardening, ice fishing, and puttering around the homestead.
